Lynn Sorensen is the current bassist for LA-based, Heaven & Earth. Lynn joins with Stuart Smith, Joe Retta, Kenny Aronoff and Ty Bailie. The band is currently in the studio writing a new album with a 2016 release scheduled. The band did a one-off July 18, 2015 at the Vasby Rock Festival in Stockholm, Sweden. Heaven and Earth toured Summer 2014 in the UK and Europe.

Lynn Sorensen has been the bassist for Bad Company. After a 10-year hiatus, the three surviving original members, Paul Rodgers, Mick Ralphs and Simon Kirke reunited along with Lynn on bass and Howard Leese on guitar, performed at Miami’s Hardrock Arena on 08/08/08. Lynn toured with Bad Company in 2009 and 2010 with dates in the US, UK, Canada and Japan. On July 28, 2011, a DVD of Bad Company’s Wembley Arena performance with Lynn on bass went on sale worldwide.

From June 2000 to April 2011, Lynn has been the bassist, back-up vocalist for the Paul Rodgers solo band. From the Barrowlands in Scotland; to Royal Albert Hall in London; to the Georgia Dome in Atlanta; to BB Kings in New York; to the Ryman in Nashville, and the Sydney Superdome, Lynn has toured Europe, Japan, Australia and North America with Paul. As Lynn puts it, "You have the world's premier rock vocalist touching the hearts of millions, and I'm a part of it! He just gets better with age. He has inspired me to realize that no matter how long you do this or how accomplished you are at your craft, you sould always challenge yourself. It makes no difference how many gigs and sessions I do with Paul, it is always a deep musical pleasure to hear that man sing!" Summer 2006, Lynn toured Japan with Paul (with Nils Lofgren and Howard Leese on guitars) and the UK in October 2006. A full DVD of the Glasgow Scotland Show entitled, Paul Rodgers Live at Glasgow, charted #1 in the UK and Canada and #3 in the US.

Lynn took part as a member of the Living Legends Concert for NAMM 2013. This group
included over 35 artists from legendary bands like The Motels, Three Dog Night, Blue Oyster Cult, Iron Maiden, Asia, Yes, Bad Company, BB King, Quiet Riot and more. This extraordinary and unique assembly of artists was one of the live entertainment highlights of the 2013 NAMM show. Lynn was also a member in the All Star Showcase Jam at NAMM 2013.


Lynn is co-founder of his original project Sex And Violins. Classically trained, Lynn is the voice, the violin and the producer for the self-titled debut Sex And Violins. He’s burnin’ inside with a lot to say...take the time...give him a listen. Sex And Violins is currently signed under Four Bolt Main Records. A video for the title track Sex And Violins was filmed in Vegas with Shane Valdez of Realm Films (Panic At The Disco, Jett, Nora Jones, Tool) directing.

Currently in the Seattle area, you can see Lynn with Spike and the Impalers (featuring KJRs Bob Rivers and Spike O’Neill). Lynn is also band leader, bassist, lead vocalist and electric violinist of the Seattle club bands Magic Bus, The Fabulous Johnsons, BADD, Powercell and the Beard Brothers.

Lynn owns and operates the mobile recording studio Tuta.


Lynn recorded two records with founding HEART members Roger Fisher and Mike Derosier with the band, Clever Bastards; Lynn has worked with Sir-Mix-A-Lot and his apprentice, Mike Singleton, on their project, Outtasite. Lynn has also worked on Randy Hansen’s album, “Drunk With Power,” and with Ronnie Montrose in Sacramento, California.

In 1998, Lynn became a member of the Major League Baseball All Star Band, also the Players Choice Band thru 2000. Lynn represented these groups as their lead vocalist and bass
player. In 2000, Lynn sang for the Players Choice Awards for ESPN where it was broadcast on national television at The Joint in Las Vegas. The song that Lynn performed was titled, “Welcome To The Show,” which is the title cut for the album, “Big League Rocks” on Capital-EMI. The song is co-written/co-produced by Lynn who also played bass and sang lead vocal.


From the age of 9 until 17, Lynn studied classical violin and viola from Don Weyand of the Seattle Symphony. All-Northwest Orchestra at age 15; All-State Orchestra age 16; Seattle
Symphony Orchestra Gold Medalist age 17. To this day, nothing moves Lynn more than Vivaldi’s Four Seasons.


Lynn is endorsed by Spector Basses and strings; TC Electronic RH-450 amp heads and Westone in-ear monitors. Lynn uses both fretted and fretless 5-string Spector basses, Westone ES-3 dual low drier in-ear monitors, Sennheiser UHF wireless, Audix mics and Zeta electric violins.
